Day 1 of the KSC/KMS competition programs is under way.

ATTENTION HOPEFUL AND DEVO Participants- This weekend

Due to Killington get hit with hard rain yesterday, Program Director, Matt Gnoza assessed the mountain today. He has decided conditions were unsafe to send our Devo(alpine, freestyle, snowboard and mountain division) and Hopeful athletes out on snow. The program will still run and be coach directed. Even though we are not skiing we highly recommended your child's participation. This is a great way for your child to meet other children and get the season started. Please have your children come prepared to go on hikes, participate in team building activities and dryland training. Please bring the proper clothing for indoors and outdoors.

Devos- Coaches will evaluate tomorrow and decide the plan for Sunday.

Hopefuls- Will have a 1pm Parent and Athlete Meeting. This meeting is very important due the Hopefuls returning to the Killington Ski Club. For those unable to attend this weekend, there will be a second parent and athlete meeting scheduled for December 12th.

Remember, if you have not yet handed in your Killington Release and Medical Form (forms attached) please bring them this weekend.

KSC/KMS COMPETITION PROGRAMS BEGIN SATURDAY

KSC/KMS Competition Programs begin their winter season on Saturday, Dec. 5. We look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday morning.

Given the unusually warm weather over the past month, the resort has been working hard to reopen and we look forward to skiing early-season conditions on limited terrain. Please be prepared for both on-snow training and dryland; all athletes should bring appropriate clothing, sneakers, and water bottles. Please also remember that lunch is not provided and athletes should bring their own lunches.

Killington Resort re-opens for the season on Wednesday at 9 a.m. with the K-1 Gondola and the Northridge Triple. Lifts will spin Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We'll have an update on open terrain later this afternoon
